Six meters keep you alive — hunger, energy, fun, social, hygiene and bladder — and they fall on their own. Money comes from work, gigs and the occasional bad idea. Everything costs in-game minutes, and Lagos only has so many of them. The pressure is not a difficulty curve: it is the rent, and it is due every Saturday.

Nothing to install in the browser, and the same account either way — a Sim started on your phone opens in the browser where you left it. Add it to your home screen and it opens full screen like an app.
What you can do
- Six needs, nine skills and 261 actions — every one with its own duration, cost and effect
- 25 careers with five levels each, from Okada Rider to Oil Executive, promoted on the skills you actually built
- 23 places around Lagos: Amala Shitta, Quilox, Elegushi beach, Balogun market, the church and the mosque
- Five homes, from face-me-I-face-you in Mushin to Lekki Phase 1 with a real bathroom
- 61 pieces of furniture to buy and place, and 24 groceries you cook from
- Six ways to move — trek, danfo, keke, okada, cab and car — priced and timed per kilometre, with the go-slow built in
- A weekly governor's race: candidates, policies, a ballot and a live count that changes fares, pay and prices
- Seven Naija radio stations, each its own show, playing as you move around the city
- 91 moodlets, 10 traits, 5 aspirations, 22 wishes and 14 reward perks
The city answers back
Pick a trait and shape your Lagosian, then live with the consequences. Hustle a shift, chase a promotion, take a gig, sell what you made and buy what you need. Get caught and it is a fine, or a night in the cell at Eko Police Division. Miss the rent and the moodlets go sour — which is what makes the neighbourhoods matter, because Mushin is ₦2,400 a week and Lekki is ₦17,000, and the gap between them is a story you have to play out.
Friends, not just NPCs
Sign in to talk to other players in the city's rooms and direct messages, see who is around and compare saves on the board. Or skip accounts entirely and play offline: device-local saves, no chat, the whole city to yourself.
A signed-in Sim is saved to the server, so a lost phone is not a lost life. A guest's Sim lives in the browser or on the device.
Is Lagos Life free?
Yes — the whole city is free to play in your browser, on Android and on iPhone. In-game naira can be topped up if you want it: Paystack in the browser, in-app purchase on the phones. Nothing in the game is behind a purchase, and a browser player never sees a store link inside the game.
Questions
Can I play in my browser?
Yes — press Play in your browser and the game opens at lagoslife.com.ng/play, with nothing to install. It is the same account and the same save as the phone builds, so a Sim you started on your phone opens in the browser where you left it.
Is there an Android or iPhone app?
Yes. Lagos Life is on Google Play for Android and on the App Store for iPhone and iPad.
Do I need an account to play?
No. You can play offline with no account: the save stays on your device and there is no chat. An account is only needed for a cloud save, the leaderboard and talking to other Lagosians — and for the top-up balance to have somewhere to land.
Where is my progress stored?
A signed-in Sim is saved to the server, which is why it follows you between your phone and the browser. A guest's Sim is saved on that device alone and does not travel.
Does it work without a connection?
The simulation runs on the device, so a dropped connection does not stop the game — it saves locally and reconciles with the server when the connection comes back. Chat, the leaderboard and cloud saves need a connection.
Is Lagos Life free?
Yes. The whole city is free to play in your browser, on Android and on iPhone. In-game naira can be topped up if you want it — Paystack in the browser, in-app purchase on the phones — but nothing in the game is behind a purchase.
